Upminster

Explore south of Havering on a mixture of roads, parks and country paths on this great route. From Upminster Park you'll pass Hornchurch Stadium before heading up to the church which gave Hornchurch its name. After crossing the lake in Harrow Lodge you'll head towards Bretton's Outdoor Centre and on to Beam Parklands. It's back on the road and onto Rainham Marshes where there's some fantastic homeade cake for your half way stop! Leaving the RSPB you'll pass the Purfleet Royal Gunpowder Magazine before turning away from the river and heading back to the start via Mardyke Valley and the Thames Chase Forest.

Please note that we only recommend using a road bikes with a wider tyre (25mm or above) on this ride due to the surface on some sections of the route.
