Starting point

Hertfordshire
AL1 2EX

This lovely route takes you from St Albans Cycle Hub to the grounds of Hatfield House.
Hatfield House is one of the Treasured Houses of England; included in the ten most magnificent palaces, houses and castles in the country.
Starting from the cycle hub the ride route follows the traffic-free Alban Way to where it meets the Great North Road. The route is mostly flat, taking the journey through the old railway line that used to run between St Albans and Hatfield. The new tarmac surface is great to ride on and suitable for all bikes. From the Great North Road there is a short section on very quiet roads to reach the café in the Stable Yard before returning on the same route back to the cycle hub.
