Stamford Park, Ashton

Starting outside Evans Cycles at the NCC, the route will take us through Clayton Vale and up a short climb to pass through the pretty village of Woodhouses before following the canal through Daisy Nook Country Park and beyond towards Park Bridge. From here the route takes us up another short climb and onto an old railway line before we get back onto the roads and over to Stamford Park and the cafe.

Toilets can be found at the NCC, the Duck cafe (Clayton Vale), Daisy Nook cafe, & the park cafe.
Cafe stop will be Stamford Park, but can be altered on the day to suit the riders as we pass by another 2 (Daisy Nook and the Duck Cafe).

Requirements: helmet, weather appropriate clothing, working bike and your own spare inner tube/pump/puncture repair kit. Please also bring a lock if you have one and cash for the cafe.

A lovely route through pretty villages, nature reserves and an old railway line to a wonderful park in Tameside.

A mix of road, trail (compacted dirt), canal path (compacted dirt, cobbles and tarmac).
