This is a shorter and not too hilly route to the lovely Stanlake Park Vineyard (near Twyford) where there is a cafe serving tea/coffee (aswell as wine by the glass!) There is also a pretty walled garden to sit in if the weather is fine. We will head initially to Wokingham via Evendons Lane and Ludgrove - but please note that I do have an alternative route to avoid the mud, if the end of Nashgrove Lane is still too messy! We will then ride on roads and lanes to Cantley Park and Hurst, arriving at the vineyard after 11 miles. Suitably refreshed, it is then just a 9 mile return journey through Hurst and on to Dinton via quiet country lanes, then back through Winnersh and Woosehill, using some cycleways.

Please don't be put off by the distance as there are no major hills, we won't cycle too fast and can stop as often as necessary. The route is all on roads, lanes and some cycleways so any type of roadworthy bike should be suitable. Please check your bike the night before - especially air in your tyres, both brakes working and oil on the chain.

You must please wear a cycle helmet and bring: a bottle of water, card for payment at the cafe, a spare inner tube for your wheel size and a bike lock if you have one. PLEASE NOTE: The cafe accepts card payments only.

We never leave anyone behind
