Steady Country Park and River Ride

The route starts by taking in a lap of the beautiful Upton Country Park. We follow the path around by the side of the canal before travelling through the farm and back through the park towards the car park.
There is then a small section of quiet roads that leads us to the cycle path past Duston Mill and onto the path between the reservoir and the Grand Union Canal.
This will bring us out along the river which we will then follow towards Midsummer Meadow, past the skate park, and out towards the Northampton Water Sports Centre. We will then do a loop of the centre and follow the same route back.

Gentle ride around Upton Country Park followed by a flat out and back along the river.

Mostly traffic-free route with a very short section of quiet roads (approx 200m) from the country park to the cycle path.

Selection of available cafes on the route and at the end of the ride. Plenty of opportunity for photo stops along the river.

Please bring money (cash or card) if you are planning on purchasing drinks and/or snacks at the cafe stop.

We love to see new faces and if you are unsure about doing the full distance, there is opportunity to join us for the Country Park ride only, prior to moving onto the short road and river section of the ride.
