Summer Solstice Ride

This ride is aiming to be back at Penrhyn Castle for 8pm in time to join the outdoor Summer Solstice Yoga session in the castle gardens, starting at 8.30pm. The yoga is free of charge - there are more details here:

You don't have to join the yoga to come on the ride, I just thought it would be a nice idea and it's what I am intending to do.

We will ride from Penrhyn Castle car park, back up the drive where we will turn left down the hill. This short stretch will be on a road that can be quite busy; we will stick together and get it over and done with as quickly as possible. We will then pick up National Cycle Route No 5 to Llanfairfechan.

We will have a short stop on the prom in Llanfairfechan - bring yourself a snack to eat here, especially if you are intending to come to the yoga.

We will return by the same route, hopefully back at the car park about 8pm, in time to put bikes in / on cars, catch our breath and then walk up to join the yoga.

What a lovely way to celebrate midsummer!

The ride will need to leave on time (5.45pm) so please arrive 15 mins early at 5.30pm for a pre ride check. We will try to keep a fairly steady pace with minimal stops along the way; this is because I really do want to be back in time to join the yoga. The route is fairly flat, although there are some hills, these are not steep or long.
