This routes goes around East Kilbride taking in lots of villages - Chapelton, Eaglesham, Thorntonhall and Carmunnock. This hilly route will stick to quieter A and country roads, although other traffic will/may be present. Not sure about cafe stops given the pandemic, so please bring your own drinks and snacks, if required. Given the time of year, if it is snowy or icy the ride may be cancelled at short notice.

Great for more experienced riders, our Challenging rides allow you to cover a good distance and conquer some hills in the comfort of a group. Whether you’re in training for a cycling challenge or just want to take your riding up a notch, our Challenging rides are a great place to start. Distance: 20+ miles. Speed: 12-14 mph
