Super Easy Traffic Free Beginners Ride in Gainsborough (4 Miles)

This is an ‘out and back’ route alongside the cycle path beside the River Trent (the map shows a section on road but this is incorrect and the mapping software won’t let me change it).
The route is on level cycle paths with only occasional minor ups and downs. There will be no pressure to ride quickly. The pace will be very gentle and we will make stops along the way whenever required. The ride is suitable for all types of bikes and all types of riders irrespective of age, fitness or riding experience. If you can sit on your bike, turn the pedals and make it move along the road, you will be able to manage this ride. The goal of the ride is to get you on your bike, gently turning the pedals and for you to have some fun.

Young people under the age of 18 are very welcome and must be accompanied throughout by a parent/guardian.

All riders are encouraged to wear safety helmets.

Please bring with you wet weather clothing in case it rains as well as a spare inner tube with a pump and tools necessary to deal with a flat tyre should you pick up a puncture.
