Burton upon Trent

This traffic-free route will take you to the pump house and back to the car park via the weir and Burton Bridge. It's a scenic route, with most of the route on footpaths and only a tiny section on a road used by vehicles to enter a car park.

You set off from the rear of the car park at the Meadowside Leisure Centre and ride on the footpaths around the area known as The Washlands. You'll ride by the Oxehay, cycle on the Ferrybridge before heading out towards the River Trent, reaching the pump house. You then return via the Oxehay, Cherry Orchard and cross Andressey Bridge into the Garden of Remembrance.  Finally you pass the Parish Church of St Modwen and then back on to the Washlands on your way back to Meadowside.
