Starting point

WA12 8QS

This gentle circular route takes in a mix of quiet country lanes, tow path and cycle path. Starting from Newton-le-Willows it heads west to the Sutton Manor and the Dream statue. This offers views over the Lancashire plain east to Manchester and west towards the welsh hills. From here we there is a chance to sample the ice cream (or cake or just a coffee) at the Hayloft. The route back follows the Sankey Canal and the Sankey Valley cycle path back to our starting point.

A gentle circular route across south Lancashire and northern Cheshire linked up by cycle path.

A mix of quiet country lanes, tow path and cycle paths.

The first stop is at the Dream statue in Sutton Manor. The dream offers views towards Manchester in the east and the welsh hills in the west. The second stop is at the Hayloft and offers a chance for a drink, cake, ice cream and maybe to see some piglets or lambs.
