Come and join us for a lovely ride out to Lydiard Park and then back. We will be staring from the Sheppard Street Car Park in the Town centre and heading straight on to the wonderful Western Flyer cycle route until we reach the gravel track that will take us up pass Shaw Forest and towards North Swindon. We will then go up the cycle path running parallel to Purton Road, we will briefly join the road for about a mile, However, you’ll be guided by experienced Leaders throughout. We will then be hoping back on the cycle path and getting to Lydiard via the West Swindon Round.

There is the lovely Coach House cafe where we can stop for a rest and some refreshments before heading back, so please bring some money.

We will then head back using the West Swindon round again until we join up with the Western Flyer cycle route and head back into town.
The route is mainly flat and suitable for all ages. You may want to avoid really narrow road tyres due to using a gravel path at one point. There are some gates to navigate but we’ll help each other out. If you’d like to join us. Please bring clothing appropriate for the weather, a drink and snack and a spare inner tube to fit your bike
