From Roseburn Bridge we'll follow the cycle path to Craigleith and on to Silver Knowes/Davidson's Mains. We'll go between the golf courses at Barnton and on to the Cramond Brig before taking the estate roads through the Dalmeny Estate (some of which are gravelly).
Going through Dalmeny village past the train station we'll follow part of the John Muir Way into the Hopetoun Estate, emerging on to a minor road which leads to the somewhat busy A904. We'll cycle a short distance on this road before accessing a shared path to the crossing over the A904 and winding our way to the Dundas Estate.
Passing through the estate we cycle on a shared path and cross the B800 with care to Milton Farm Road, Standingstane Road, a part of Burnshot Road and then a minor road past Carlowrie Castle to Kirkliston.
Back on the B800 we'll cycle along Lochend Road and follow the cycle path beside the A8 to Maybury, taking some residential roads to cross over the A8 into Gyle Park. From there we'll find our way to Dovecot Road, Meadowhouse Road and on to the cycle path by Carrick Knowe golf course, past Balgreen tram stop, along the Water of Leith accessing the new West/East cycle lane for a short time at Roseburn before finishing where we started.

Starting from Roseburn we'll take in 3 estates to the West of Edinburgh

A mixture of cycle paths, estate tracks/roads, minor residential roads and some A and B roads where great care is required.

Well stop a few times to catch our breath, rehydrate and have a snack

Helmets recommended, 2 spare inner tubes, a pump, repair kit, cash or card, a means of getting home in case of mechanical breakdown

We never leave anyone behind
