Starting point

FY8 5LE

The Taps Public House, Henry Street Lytham St Annes Lancs FY8 (0.1m from Lytham Railway Station, less from the bus stops, just in from the promenade in Lytham Centre).

Starts at The Taps pub in Lytham (FY8, Henry Street). Heads in an anti-clockwise direction on mostly main but quiet roads through countryside. Goes to Wrea Green, Kirkham, Treales, Woodplumpton, Inskip, Elswick, Thistleton, Weeton and Ballam, finishing at the taps for a nice cold pint (or diet coke...). Note at Kirkham there is the option to cut it in half and head to Singleton and Weeton instead of the full loop. From experience this is a good option for those who want to do 15 miles in 2 hours - it's pretty flat in the main until this point, and those doing it at pace will be able to do the full 30 miler in 2 hours and catch up with the gentler pacers near the end! Nice in nice weather and better when it's not windy. ***THIS RIDE STARTS AT 10:30 and WILL BE LED BY IAN HAVELOCK*** As British Cycling mapping is STILL so incredibly flaky, you can see a map of the route here: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/177006928
