Southampton

Route leaves the suburbs of Southampton and heads North along cyclepaths and quiet roads around Romsey and up The Test Valley passing through Michelmersh, Montisfont famed for its walled Rose Gardens and River Test running through its grounds. We continue on quiet lanes to join Old Sarum Road, a Roman Road that links Winchester and Salisbury. This is our only challenging climb, but we will stop at the top to take in the views looking across the valley to Broughton. Returning back to Southampton via East Tytherley, Lockerley, Dunbridge, Romsey and Lee.
