The BIG dipper

Please join me for this epic challenging ride including the Nant Gwynant hill climb, another of the top hill climbs in North Wales. We start at Llanberis and head over to Waunfawr. We travel down the beautiful Gwyrfai Valley to the picturesque village of Beddgelert. We follow the River Glaslyn and loop back through Garreg. The Nant Gwynant hill climb comes towards the end of the ride. It is a lovely long climb that is never too steep (the average grade is 4.4%) and gives amazing views of the heart of Snowdonia. Finally we descend back to Llanberis.

Large proportion on A-roads and B-roads, with some country lanes and limited cycle path mixed in.

This ride is weather dependent. We won't ride if there are strong winds (20mph+) or it is pouring with rain.

This ride is 'no frills' as there is NO café stop. We will have some roadside stops to have a drink/snack (bring your own).

Ideal for Breeze riders who want to challenge themselves and have fun! And those who are new to Breeze rides are very welcome. This ride is classified as ‘challenging’ because it takes in 41 miles, includes the Nant Gywnant hill climb, as well as a few other steep ramps on the way round, and we will be completing the ride at an average pace of approx. 20kph (12mph). This ride will definitely let you test your legs!

We ride up hills at our own pace and regroup at the top. We never leave anyone behind.

Repair kit and spare inner tube
Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride
