The Coffee Barn, Buckminster

Your qualified British Cycling Ride leaders will meet you ilat Barrowby Green and guide you at a safe and leisurely pace.

The ride starts with a descent out of Barrowby down to the Vale of Belvoir. We will then wind our way through some delightful villages climbing up the escarpment of the Leicestershire Worlds at Croxton Kerrial before making our way to The Coffee Barn in Buckminster.

After lunch we will make our way back across the Wolds followed by a descent to Harlaxton and the short climb back up to Barrowby.

Your leaders are fully trained and qualified through British Cycling, and above all friendly. They will take all reasonable steps to ensure your, and the public's safety and we never leave anyone behind.

Now to the cost of all this. The great news is that it is totally free of charge, apart from refreshments, which are optional. Children over 8 years of age are welcome as long as they can make the 30-mile distance and are accompanied by a responsible adult. All riders must be registered and wear a suitable cycling helmet and we recommend summer sun protection, even if it’s a cloudy day. Children in carriers are welcome and do not need to be registered separately.

The route is predominately on quiet country lanes. There are a couple of climbs; but, nothing too challenging.
