The Common Land to Lordswood

This is a varied route taking in a variety of terrain and environments from the splendid common area in the centre of Southampton, as well as the ups and downs of Southampton golf course. Further along you will travel through some lovely suburban roads, to the north of the city, lined with (want to own) beautiful houses. These prelude the magnificent grounds of Chilworth manor itself. Once refuelled you will ride out along the country lanes to Lordswood and enjoy the scenic trails that take you deep into the merky wood itself. From here, you will take a variety of cycle paths and quiet road ways back to Southampton golf course, before finishing with a tour of the beautiful lakes of Southampton Common.
