The Garden Tea Room - Oakgate - Revisited

Why not join our 30 mile ride to one of our favourite cake stops - The Garden Tea Room at Oakgate Nursery. The outward journey will be via Edgmond, Great Bolas, Peplow and Stanton upon Hine Heath before reaching the Tea Room at around 17 miles. The homeward trip is shorter via Ellerdine, Waters Upton and Tibberton.

Once out of Newport, we will be mostly cycling on quiet country lanes and we will aim to travel at the pace of the slowest riders - no one will be left behind. This is one of our flatter routes and we will aim to cycle at an average of 12-13 mph.

Road bikes or hybrid bikes with road tyres are suitable for this ride. Your bike should be in good order, have a spare inner tube and pump, and remember we require all our riders to wear a helmet. Please also bring a full drinks bottle, energy bar (or Jelly babies!) and don’t forget your pennies for the cake stop. Please also remember to bring a mask or face covering.
