This is the ride for you if you would like to explore the forest roads of Whinlatter.  Ride in a women only group round the new Gorse Trail at Whinlatter. Although this trail is not technicial there is a lot of climbing and descending on forest roads. We ride just one short section of the blue graded trail. We will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider so we don't leave anyone behind.  It will be the ideal opportunity for you to increase your confidence on trails.
Mountain bikes are essential for this ride and so is a helmet.  You will also need to come dressed for the weather and a drink and a snack are also a good idea.  It would also be good to carry a spare inner tube, just in case you need it.  As the route can be wet and muddy, a spare change of clothing for after the ride is also advisable.  Approx 6.5 miles.
Mountain biking is great fun and a good way to get fit so come along and give it a go.
