A ride through Gladstone Park and the Welsh Harp to Hendon Park to appreciate the small but beautiful Holocaust Memorial Garden. Although we take it slow and go through quiet paths, there are a few busy roads to navigate – we will do it safely as a group, but you mustn’t be nervous in traffic or this ride may not be for you.
We start cutting through Gladstone Park to make our way to the Welsh Harp using the subway at Neasden. It gets busy when we leave the reservoir into Hendon – we will briefly cycle on Edgware Road/West Hendon Broadway, and then cross the busy Hendon Central junction, soon reaching Hendon Park, where we will stop for a coffee and to visit the Holocaust Memorial.
On our way back we cycle through quiet footpaths and join Mutton Brook off Brent River, a little hidden gem. We join the roads again towards Clitterhouse Playing Fields and into Cricklewood, coming back to Roundwood Park via Brondesbury. We aim to be back at 2pm.
If you find this ride fully booked, get in the waiting list as spaces always become available nearer the date. However, please do not sign up if you’re not sure you can join.
