The Parade and Parks Pedal

Starting from the Parade, this gentle ride visits Newbold Comyn, the Pump Room Gardens, Victoria Park and other wonderful places in Leamington. The Parade and Parks Pedal is particularly aimed at those who would like to cycle but are concerned about their fitness or are not particularly confident in traffic. Under 16s are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. If you are a more confident cyclist, we would be delighted if you could come along to encourage others and promote cycling in Leamington more generally. Most of the route is in the parks, so you are safe from cars. However, we all need to give way to pedestrians, particularly in the underpass under Adelaide Road where we must go slowly, in single file, keeping to the left. There is fairly little traffic on the roads this early on a Sunday, but still take care! Ultimately you are responsible for your safety at all times, including ensuring your bike etc are in good condition. Note that there is a short section on grass, some gravel and the route is bumpy in places.
