The ride starts on Whitehaven Harbour and we shall ride out to the cycle path which will lead us directly to the Pheonix Bridge. From here we shall do a little loop back round and return to Whitehaven the same way. It is actually a lovely ride with no traffic once we are out of town, so a good introduction to Breeze. If you havent been on a Breeze Ride before its straight forward - you need to reserve your place on this website, and then turn up with your bike, helmet and spare inner tube about ten minutes before the start time. From there, you are in safe hands!

This is a ride almost entirely on cycle path - it can easily be adapted to cycle path only if those present prefer. A nice n easy ride out to Pheonix bridge, Cleator Moor from Whitehaven following the cycle path. A good introduction to Breeze riding, this doesn't present any major challenges, and anyway this is a Breeze Ride, so we are all gonna wait for each other anyway. Just a nice ride out through a bit of West Cumbrian cycle path.

Traffic free cycle path except for a tiny bit at the start in Whitehaven and a tiny bit in Cleator Moor where we turn round - the Cleator Moor bit can be skipped if riders prefer, we can decide on the day.

No en route opportunities for a stop, but if the cafes are open again (and the weather favourable) I would love to have a coffee and cake at the end on Whitehaven Harbour. Bring some pennies....

A properly fittef helmet should be worn on the ride, and please bring along a spare inner tube for your bike just in case we need it. If you arent sure what you need, send me a message and I can help you out. Some people like to bring a drink and a little snack, its up to you. Check the weather and dress accordingly, layers are always best to adjust for either warmth or cold.

We never leave anyone behind
