About the route
All are welcome to join us for a social ride starting at the Cycle Hub and travelling along the off-road cycle routes to Seaton Sluice. The route will pass through Wallsend and then go through Shiremoor before turning towards Seaton Sluice. The return ride could either follow the same path or go via the Rising Sun Park and Jesmond Dene.
Exact details are subject to change depending on participants. The pace will likely be 10 to 11 mph and the total distance will be 30 miles, so anyone wishing to join should be a competent cyclist and used to such rides.
Helmets are recommended and please ensure you carry sufficient water and preferably a spare inner tune in case of punctures.
