Thursday Therapy (Hove to Steyning)

It's nearly Friday, so this Thursday Therapy evening Breeze ride should set you up nicely for the weekend! After dropping down to the seafront from Hove Park and following the cycle paths and quiet roads along the coast to Shoreham, we will go past Shoreham airport and then join the delightful country lanes up to Steyning. Once there, we'll stop for refreshments in a pub before returning home again. Whilst the seafront roads are flat, our route inland to Steyning is quite hilly - this is not a beginner's ride and you should be able to use your gears competently to get you up and down hills safely. Breeze rides always ride at the pacest of the slowest, so we won't leave anyone behind, and we'll wait at the top of hills for those still developing their fitness. Please bring layers (it can suddenly get cool in the evenings), waterproofs (weather can change unexpectedly) and lights (we might be riding back into dusk) as well spare inner tube (easier to change then fixing a puncture by the roadside). Please check your bike over before heading out: Are the tyres fully inflated? Do both brakes work? Is the chain clean and oiled? Bring money for the pub!
