This is a mix of residential roads and trails including part TPT. Mostly well surfaced but there are a few small sections of unmade rough potholed tracks. I have ridden all these on my road bike, 700 x 32 tyres but hybrid or mountain bike, electric bike or gravel bikes would be suitable. There are also tree roots crossing the TPT in places. The ride is Approximately 30 miles, with approx 1000 ft of climbing. The pace will be steady and leisurely hence the estimated 4.5 ish hours over all with breaks. Very likely we won’t be back before 1 pm especially if any delays, faffs, mechanicals. ( last time at this cafe, I struggled to get everyone to leave as it’s so nice). Cakes are homemade by the owner and coffee is delicious. This ride and cafe is quickly becoming a local favourite of mine and would love it if any of you fancied joining me. Please wear an helmet, and bring spares and tools in case of mechanicals. This is a community group ride and we are all responsible for ourselves, I would struggle to help with a mechanical at the moment so please be prepared for any eventuality. The cafe is lovely and if the suns shining a nice courtyard to enjoy our cafe break sitting outside hopefully in some lovely sunshine.

We will be riding along the Donn Gorge shared path and this is shared by pedestrians, dogs, rarely in this area horses and very occasionally vehicles. Usually maintenance council vans and machinery.

We are having a cafe stop at The Stables Courtyard in High Melton.

This is an invitation to ride with the Blue Leisure Group of the Tickhill Velo Club. A number of us have joined the club and found it to be very inclusive and welcoming with a very friendly atmosphere. The blue group rides at similar level to Heels on Wheels and is mainly road riding. This ride with the club is free and just an invite to have a ride out.
