Please join me for this ride to Harlech castle! We travel down the beautiful Gwyrfai Valley to the picturesque village of Beddgelert. We follow the River Glaslyn and then branch off towards Harlech. We will need to have some energy saved up for the return leg, particularly the final push back from Beddgelert to Rhyd Ddu whilst soaking up some spectacular mountain views.
This ride is weather dependent. We won't ride if there are strong winds (20mph+) or it is pouring with rain.
This ride is 'no frills' as there is NO café stop. We will have some roadside stops to have a drink/snack (bring your own).
Majority on A-roads, with small section on minor road.
Ideal for Breeze riders who want to challenge themselves and have fun! And those who are new to Breeze rides are very welcome. This ride is classified as ‘challenging’ because we aim to tackle some hills (over 500m ascent) and swooping descents at an average pace of approx. 20kph (12mph). We ride up hills at our own pace and regroup at the top. We never leave anyone behind.
WHAT TO BRING:
A drink and snacks for the ride
Clothes suitable for the weather
A helmet
A mask, hand sanitiser or sanitising wipes
Repair kit and spare inner tube
Make sure your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up before arriving on the ride
