Starting from - We will meet outside the historic Max Gate. There is free parking on the residential roads around here, but no public toilets. Max Gate is a short walk or cycle from Dorchester South railway station and is on the cycle path that leads out of Dorchester from Lucetta Lane (next to St. Mary's Catholic First School). DT1 2FN

When we get to Moreton we will head for the Dovecote café in the Walled Garden. After a pause and a cuppa, we will then head back to Dorchester the way we came.
THIS IS THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF FOUR WEEKLY RIDES ON NCN2, EACH WEEK GETTING LONGER ON THIS ROUTE. You don't have to book all four (Wool on 20th July, Holme Garden Centre on 27th July, Arne on 1st August as well as this one) but if you're wanting to increase your endurance and stamina on the bike whilst using familiar (and fairly flat) roads, booking on all four will help with that.
