Starting point

Wrexham
LL13 7RF

This is part of the series of rides to celebrate the TOUR of BRITAIN coming to Wrexham. I have selected to lead 2 rides both starting at Felin Puleston, free parking available but sorry no toilets at the start.

We are not actually following the route but will be on parts as we go around, this is for safety and also to make the ride more interesting. For this ride I am extending it to Chirk and around past the Pretty gates by Chirk Castle.

So the route will take the quiet lanes to Ruabon and then along to Newbridge, We go through the closed road element to Chirk (yes this is open to cyclists but be aware the road may have more debris on as not often used).

From here we will take a small section of the A5 before heading on the lanes around the back of Chirk Castle and onwards to our cafe stop (approx half way)

From here we will head back through Chirk (again a small section of the A5) and back via Newbridge. We will take some quiet roads onto the route used by TOB around back of Ruabon and Rhos (some small alterations due to one way system). Finally we detour off the TOB route to take a safer quieter route back to Felin Puleston and our transport.

This is a challenging route due to some small slopes of opportunities but is open to all and we welcome anybody,

We will stop at Caffi Wylfa in Chirk (please note that they only take Card payments (NO CASH). There is absolutely no obligation to partake in cake, but sorry I love my cake....
