Pink Ribbon Tour - Tough Cookies on tour to Alresford

This week sees the start of the Women's Tour and some exciting racing culminating in events in London on Sunday 11th June in support of Breast Cancer Care. Our own version of the 'Pink Ribbon Tour' will take us to Alresford, where unlike the pros, we'll enjoy a lovely cafe stop in the town. Our 55 mile route will take us out of Fleet through Church Cookham and Crondall and into the Hampshire Lanes. The route is undulating with a few ups and downs through Lasham, Bentworth and Medstead before arriving at Alresford for a well earned coffee and cake stop. The return route will take us through the pretty lanes to Abbotstone and the Candovers to Axford before turning right to Ellisfield, Herriard, Upton Grey and Odiham.

NOTE: This ride is for the more experienced rider who is capable of sustaining an average speed of around 13-14mph over the distance.

We will meet outside Pedal Heaven Cycle Shop in Fleet at 9.15 so we are ready to set off promptly at 9.30. We are aiming to be back by 2.30. (4.5 hours cycling / 13-14mph average).

Please make sure you dress for the weather and carry a rain / wind jacket if rain is forecast. The wearing of a helmet is mandatory for this ride. Also, as we'll be riding for up to 2 hours before our cafe stop please bring enough food and drink to last you for the ride. Also, bring a spare inner tube and pump.
