Starting point

Cheshire

Come and join us on a mostly flat ride on cycle-friendly park pathways and canal pathways following Sankey Canal and the Trans-Pennine Trail. 14 miles at an easy pace on good tarmacked surfaces in Sankey Park and then flattened gravel on TPT.
The route has couple of narrow points and is popular with Walkers and other cyclist, so will require passing with care.
Traffic free and only crossing two roads using the pedestrian crossing at A57 Sankey Way, and then to cross Old Liverpool Road by The Sloop Pub to gain the TPT
Some Regular stops at some vantage points to look at the scenery, wildlife and the soon-to-be demolished cooling towers of Fiddlers Ferry powers Station. Don't forget your camera!
Coffee and Comfort stop is planned at West Bank Boat Club. Indoor and outdoor seating and toilets are available.
Return will be retracing our route.
