Towpath ride from Saltaire to East Riddlesden Hall

This is a nice gentle ride along the canal from Saltaire to East Riddlesden Hall, but please note the new starting place. Those coming by car need to use the main Salts Mill car park accessed via Victoria Street and Salts Mill Road. There is no vehicular access from Victoria Road, Saltaire, and parking is limited during weekdays immediately outside All Terrain's shop. The ride out will be traffic free, but dependant on who comes along, we may ride back to Bingley along the cycle path before returning to the canal. We’ll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We really welcome newcomers to our rides.  We will be stopping for refreshments at East Riddlesden Hall, so if you are a NT member, please bring your card. For the last few years there has been a concession to people arriving by bike: providing they purchase a bite, a free drink is given. I had hoped this would continue for 2016, but seemingly not, though I will keep on asking! The more adventurous can take the '5 Rise Lock Hill' challenge or you can join me in pushing. Approx 11 miles round trip, but can be easily shortened (or even lengthened) if required. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  This is a significant day for me and I am hoping we can make a bit of a picnic of it in the grounds of East Riddlesden Hall.If the weather is iffy, we'll go to Toby's near Apperley Bridge, where we can at least sit inside.
