This is a lovely route along beautiful cycle paths and the TPT. Some quiet roads to join to the trails. As days prior to the ride are forecast to be wet, we will mostly avoid muddy forest.

Our route starts at the Sandall Beat Wood car park and proceeds past the Doncaster racecourse entrance towards Lakeside. We take the lovely cycle path along Woodfield way, a few quiet roads, then we join the TPT going northwards over the viaduct at Warmsworth. Then on trails past the lake at Hanging Wood, then to our cafe stop at Markham Grange (there is a new coffee machine!). Then we turn south on on our return trip and head down the trail to Roman Ridge. We re-join the TPT briefly and go south over 'North Bridge' on some quiet roads and head towards the cycle paths around Townfields. We pass the entrance to Doncaster Racecourse and back to the car park at Sandall Beat Wood.

This is a social ride together as a group. We pause the ride for punctures sustained. Ultimately riders are individually responsible for their own bike maintenance and own safety. It is always advised helmets are worn, use a bike lock, and bring tools and spares to repair a puncture etc. (Most important is bring a spare inner tube and pump). Check the ride distance, elevation, duration, terrain and bicycle type of this ride is compatible with your ability and bicycle.

Bring cash/card for cafe.

New riders to the group are very welcome.
We may take some photos during the ride for promoting future rides. If you don't wish to be in any photos, please let me know before the ride.

Note, to join the ride you must book on to the ride using the ‘Lets Ride’ website. Also, please check the website prior to the ride time in the event of ride cancellation.
