We'll cycle up Forge Lane to Bassaleg where we'll take a short cut to Rogerstone and up the long hill past Tiny Rebel Brewery to the canal. This is the only serious hill on the ride. Once on the canal it is a flat and picturesque ride. Hopefully we'll see some herons and even some kingfishers! There is another steady hill up to the cafe. However, it will be downhill all the way back to Tredegar House! Please remember to bring a spare inner tube!
A tranquil ride alongside the Brecon to Monmouth Canal.
This ride is 95% on cycle paths.
We'll stop at Cwmcarn Forest Cafe for drinks and snacks!
Please bring some cash or card to pay for parking at Tredegar House car park and the cafe.
