Breeze Brighton & Hove has partnered with Brighton & Hove Triathlon to bring you a series of monthly training rides.
If you fancy giving Triathlon a go, but are nervous about the cycling part, then this Breeze ride is for you! We will take you on a flat seafront ride from Hove to Southwick, giving you hints and tips along the way. After a short pause at Carats café (no time for coffee … this is a training ride after all!) we will turn around and come back again. We can always chat over a re-fuelling coffee and cake when we get back to the start at Porteur café in Hove.
Whilst there are no hills to contend with on this ride, the wind can make the ride tough in one direction (but speedy and easy the other way!). This replicates the conditions and terrain of the Brighton & Hove Triathlon (Sunday 16th September).

PLEASE NOTE: as this is a group ride, we will NOT be using Tri-bars on bikes. ANY type of bike is welcome, but if you’ve got a specific Tri-bike, then you’re probably beyond needing this level of confidence and skill building ride!
Remember to check your bike before setting out for the ride:
- are both tyres fully inflated?
- do both brakes work well?
- is the chain clean and lightly oiled?
