Tropical World Cafe, Canal Gardens, Roundhay

Join us for a Friday Ridey to Roundhay, stopping at Tropical World Cafe for coffee/lunch

It's a steady ride with some hills but will be taken at an easygoing pace

Leaving Cookridge we head to Adel, then up to Eccup, past the reservoir and onto the path around the rear of Leeds Grammar School, it is badly degraded, if you are not to keen, the option to walk the short section of rough path, it's out onto Wigton lane and onto Shadwell, passing the library we turn right onto Gateland lane then Whin Moor lane and onto the dedicated bike lane on the ELOR, picking up Ring Road Shadwell to the traffic lights, turn left onto Roundhay Park lane, this is a short climb, then into Roundhay Park, there is an option to do some hill practice before we cross over Princes avenue and into Canal Gardens and Tropical World Cafe for our coffee/lunch stop

Leaving the cafe we head out left onto Street lane, then right onto Roman avenue dropping down to the dedicated cycle path which runs to the shopping centre at Moortown, pick up another cycle path upto Crag lane, where we turn left and follow the path through the woods popping out on Stairfoot lane, down then up, past Yorkgate to Adel and back to Cookridge
