Starting point

Tyne and Wear
NE3 5JT

Our destination today will be the Tyne Riverside Cafe at Prudhoe. We'll ride through the town to the quayside and along the south side of the river to Prudhoe. We'll stop for tea and a ginormous sausage sarnie. We'll come back along the north bank of the Tyne and return to Gosforth through the Byker link and Heaton park.

There are plenty of cafe options if the weather isn't too good.

Please let me know, before the day, if you'd prefer to join at the south side of the Millennium bridge (at 10:00). Contact me if you'd like to join elsewhere.

Although most of the ride is on bike friendly paths, there will be some stretches of road. Remember that it's winter/spring/summer/autumn and there will be rain and snow and hail and mud and dust and sand and ice and sunshine! And gales! Please dress appropriately.

Please be prepared to fix any mechanical issues you may have, and especially punctures (a spare inner tube is much better than a repair kit). That said, there will be plenty of help if you do have issues, but don't assume anyone has the knowledge/ability/tools to fix an e-bike.
