TYSOE TO CHESTERTON WINDMILL

This ride is aimed as a training ride for any ladies wishing to take part in cycling Sportives next year.  We are hoping to put together a Ladies Breeze Team for the Rawlinson Bracket ride, which takes place on 23rd Feb. This ride heads out of Tysoe to Radway, and then alongside the MOD base at Temple Hardwyke before crossing a busy main road up towards Burton Dassett.  We will turn left before the country park, thru Northend and out of the village, taking the turn to Knightcote.  We cycle into Bishops Itchington (along another fairly main road for a stretch of approx. 1/2 Km) and turn right to Harbury.  We then turn down to Chesterton - stopping at the Windmill for a snax (please bring a banana or snax bar).  We then head back thru Chesterton, along the old gated road, cross the Banbury Road into Lighthorn. Here we head back towards Kineton and head for home and the T-Shop at Tysoe.   Hopefully the weather will be fine but please bring a waterproof jacket just in case!  I would suggest all riders carry a drink too. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don't have one please don't worry you can still join us. If you enjoy the ride and want to come again, perhaps you could look to buy one then. This ride is aimed at riders who can or are happy riding 26+ miles at a brisk pace of 12-15mph.  Hybrid or Road Bikes with smooth tyres are best suited for this ride.
