Ulesthorpe & Back

Leaving the Country Park, we use the bike paths along to Magna Park, we go down the side of Wayfair and then head out across the fields, be careful of the Swans!! we follow the grass route and then gravel road to Ullesthorpe. There is a hill going into Ullesthorpe, is not very long but it is steep you need to use your gears properly to get up it . The route back has no climbs and is mainly on gravel, we come back out onto Mere Lane and turning right pick up the path after a couple of hundred yards and end up back at the rear of Wayfair where we started, from there we head back towards the Country park.

We will be on bike Paths and trails, with the exception of approx 1/4 mile we will not be riding on any roads. You will need a gravel bike, a MTB or a bike with wider tyres for this route, it's not suited to a hybrid or road tyres

We will be starting from the Country Park in Lutterworth, 95% of this route is off road and if it has been raining it will be muddy. We will have to get off and walk through the Pig Farm!! I have marked this route as challenging because of the hill into Ullesthorpe

90% are bridlepaths and through fields, there is a small section of road (probs a couple of hundred metres on Mere Lane)

Water, Haribo & a cold drink from the Shop in Ullesthorpe. Please note the Shop closes at 12 noon on Sunday & does not sell coffee, but has a selection of drinks and snacks.

Helmets are essential, no helmet no ride. Any under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Money for a drink at the shop. A suitable bike, a spare inner tube and tyre levers.
