Undulating Evening Vale Loop

A slightly different loop to usual, starting at Insole Court on Fairwater Road and heading out of Cardiff via Pentrebane in almost a straight line towards the Clawdd Coch crossroads, then follow our usual route in reverse back to St Bride's super Ely where we'll divert through St George's and Drope, discovering some new lanes and villages. We then head back over the level crossing into St Fagans, up into Fairwater and back to Insole Court.

Everyone welcome, lovely views and mostly gentle hills, no one gets left behind. The worst bits are the climb up to the Clawdd Coch crossroads (we usually go down this bit but it's only quarter of a mile long), and the climb up into St Fagan's after the level crossing (steep but short).

There is free parking along Fairwater Road and at Insole Court.

Remember to bring a drink and a snack in case you feel hungry. There is no coffee stop planned on this ride.

Please check your bike over in advance, making sure tyres are inflated and brakes are working, bring a spare inner tube if you have one, and always wear a helmet.
