One of our favourite routes in the beautiful Upper Derwent Valley. It is a mainly traffic-free route on lanes, tracks and trails. There is a difficult section which is quite stoney so off-road tyres are preferable.
It is advisable to take some lunch with you as once we leave Fairholmes there isn't another place to eat until we get back to Bamford.
