As described above, the route takes us through coastal towns of Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate, Herne Bay, Whitstable. And all those inbetween - Minnis Bay, Botany Bay, Viking Bay. Inland, we ride through picturesque villages of St Nicholas at Wade, Monkton and Minster. The refreshment stop will be in Ramsgate Harbour where there is a choice of places to eat.

It is planned for the first half of the ride to be via the countryside villages as mentioned above, and the second half of the ride to be on the coast, but this is dependent on the wind direction on the day. However, all the coastal towns have train stations, and should you feel that you have had enough, have mechanical issues, need to get home earlier than expected etc, there is the option to get a from from Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate, Westgate-on-Sea, Birchington and Herne Bay.

Viking Trail. A half day in the saddle (not including any mishaps) on this popular route.

The route takes the ride on coastal traffic free shared paths, country roads and through the coastal towns of Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate.

The planned stop will be in Ramsgate Harbour, as this is a convenient and picturesque point on the route. There are a number of eateries here to choose from.

Helmets are not compulsory on WOB rides, but are very strongly recommended that you do wear a helmet. The choice is yours. Dress for the weather, carry essential medication as well as tools for your bike (inner tube, pump etc), cash/card for refreshments. Your bike MUST be in a roadworthy condition and fit to ride.

First-timers welcome!
