Queen Margaret Drive

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. An undulating 27 mile route from the Botanic Gardens on Queen Margaret Drive, out through Maryhill and the suburbs of Bearsden and Milngavie to a climb over the moor to Strathblane.  Then west through pleasant rolling farmland at the the foot of the Campsie Fells to Lennoxtown before heading back south to Torrance and east towards Bearsden and into Milngavie. All before we head back for a well earned cup of tea!     *The route advertised may be subject to slight adjustments due to the Commonwealth Games.
