An easygoing 6 mile route, mainly traffic free, from Warwick University campus to Abbey Fields in Kenilworth and back. This has been a popular route for some time now and is an ideal opportunity, for those of you who maybe haven’t been out on a bike for a while or are new to cycling, to get out and stretch your legs without too much challenge.

The start/meeting point is in front of the large outdoor screen located in the student union at Warwick University by the Arts Centre. For those arriving with a car, parking (free at weekends) is available, with the central campus car park near the Arts centre being the most
convenient for the Student Union. Toilets are usually available, however
we cannot guarantee access at this time.

From the university, we'll make our way to Cryfield Pavillion where we join the traffic free ‘Connect 2 Kenilworth’ route which joins the university to the Kenilworth Greenway. We'll follow the Greenway all the way to Abbey Fields, our halfway point and refreshments stop. There is a cafe but at the moment we cannot guarantee the opening times, so perhaps bring a drink and snack just in case. Once refreshed, we'll re-trace our steps, back to
the university, on this picturesque route through the countryside.

For those of you new to the Let's Ride programme, our irde leaders, resplendant in their green tops, will be there at the start to welcome you. Please bring along a spare inner tube and pump just in case of a puncture. Adults can choose whether or not to wear a helmet, but this is compulsory for riders under 18yrs old.
Keep a weather eye out and dress accordingly - if this lovely spell of hot weather stays with us, ensure you apply plenty of sun protection before setting out and defintely bring a drink for along the way!

We hope you can join us, and look forward to seeing you!
Tony & Zorena, your Ride Leader Team.
