About the route

Starting point

PR6 7EU

A route with a 5 star review that we are putting on again but this time with a real treat of a destination. We will be having our lunch stop at Rivington Tearooms where Carol Crerar,a stalwart of Lancashire Lasses will be playing merry tunes along with her brass band cohorts plus a craft market will be next door in the historic Unitarian chapel.
This is a hybrid ride that takes in the sights of many water courses from canals to reservoirs and plenty of green spaces as we travel through Cuerden Valley and Astley Park.
Some minor and main roads that link this picturesque ride which incorporates canal paths and off road bike paths. There are some uneven surfaces so road tyres may not be suitable - at this time of year there are lots of wet leaves, debris and deeper muddy stretches.
There are some moderate but short lived inclines but we will tackle these together.
No helmet no ride. Please have a spare inner tube, pump and tools and have a method of payment for the cafe.We welcome new riders,This is a social ride between 9 - 11mph.
If you have any questions please feel free to send a message.
