We're taking the 10:18 Overground from West Croydon to Dalston Junction and starting from there at 11:08. There are three hours cycling time, not fast, 23 1/2 miles back to Croydon. Mostly beside water!

Lunch in Greenwich.

But you don't have to cycle all that distance! We have a rendezvous at Canada Water built in. Instead train it to there and meet us en route to Greenwich. That option is 15 miles. To meet at Canada Water get the 11:48 at West Croydon, arriving at 12:16. Canada Water's meeting place will be the public library on Deal Porter Square. It's beside the water and beside the circular building. There's a café and toilets on the ground floor. While you are waiting if you go upstairs please make sure you will notice phone messages. Overground fares are £3.50 to Dalston and £2 to Canada Water, each way.

You probably won't get back to Croydon before 4:00pm. Riders from Dalston will reach Canada Water after 1 hour

We will first meet water at the Regents Canal after riding through London Fields and Broadway Market. There's Victoria Park and Mile End Park with more canal, Limehouse Basin, the Thames, Shadwell Basin, more canals, St Katherines Dock, Tower Bridge, back streets through Bermondsea and Rotherhithe, Canada Water and more canal, more Thames Path. Greenwich!
Then Deptford to join the Ravensbourne at Brookmill Park, rejoin it at Ladywell Fields and follow it on Waterlink Way to Cator Park in New Beckenham. Then South Norwood Country Park, Ashburton Park, the Railway Park and Croydon. It's a watery wonderland!

You will need to have cycled a canal towpath in recent years. Please bring a spare inner tube should you suffer a puncture.
