NB: This is a Challenging Plus Route, with about 800 metres of climbing in total. It's a beautiful route - perfect for those of you preparing for sportives like the London to Brighton Ride.

We politely request you do not sign up for this ride, unless you have completed at least a 30 mile ride, over a hilly route, averaging at least 10-11 mph. We ask this for the well-being of everyone on the ride and for the sake of our Ride Leaders, who do brilliantly in catering for different abilities but do need to ensure a group can ride together, especially over this kind of distance, for the safety of everyone.

This is our longest and most Challenging route and hopefully most rewarding ride. We will run it again later this Summer, should you want to build up to it! :)

Your bike must be in good working order and you must be in good health. We want to enable people to do more than they realized they ever could, but don't want anyone putting themselves under strain in a way that could endanger their health.

Please bring on the day:

- Two Spare Inner Tubes
- Money/Card to buy refreshments at the Brownlow Cafe or in case you need to catch the train back to Watford at Tring / or get a cab
- Water &/or Electrolyte/Isotonic drink or gels
- Snacks: E.g. Gels, Bars, or Good Old Flapjack works!
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions and for cycling this kind of distance: padded shorts or tights are highly recommended

- You may also need to apply sunscreen to gain a cyclist's tan, while protecting against sun damage

Georgia, Tom and Yves look forward to supporting you around the route and will care for everyone, especially as for many of you, this is likely to a 'step up' ride and possibly the furthest you've ever ridden to date. :) We hope to make it a day to remember. :)
