Starting point

Hertfordshire

At just under 35 miles, with 643 metres of climbing, this is a Challenging Ride at an average pace of 10-11 mph over the hilly route. The route will take us out of Watford via Chandler's Cross, Belsize and Flaunden through some of the most lovely local country lanes through to Boxmoor and Little Heath to Potten End. Unfortunately the 'Hidden' Vineyard at Frithsden is no longer open, the coffee break will be either in Potten End or at Little Heath Tea Room, before returning back over the Chiltern Hills to Watford Cycle Hub.

Please bring two spare inner tubes - as changing an inner tube is faster than fixing a puncture. Watford Cycle Hub sell inner tubes from £4 new, should you need to purchase one.

Please check your bike is in good working order before the ride - especially that your brakes are working & your tyres are pumped to the correct pressure.

We are Not-For-Profit, do free bike assessments and should your bike need a tune up or a full service, we'll give you an honest price.
