Welcome to an Easy B2B (Back to Basics) beginners Guided ride especially designed for mixed adults 16+ who are new to or who maybe nervous about starting to cycle.

We will start our Guided ride to Celebrate Mental Health Week from Maryport Cemetery Gates. If arriving by car there is free parking available at the adjacent layby.

We will be travelling along the almost traffic free coastal cycle way to Allonby where we will be calling in at the Allonby tea rooms for a cuppa and to refuel with cake if needed :)
We will then retrace our route back towards Maryport and our start point at the cemetery gates.
There are public toilets in Allonby and at the café if needed but not at the start/finish point.

Please bring with you a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to add or remove layers work the best, a waterproof jacket, a cold drink for along the way (if needed), & some money or contactless payment card for our café stop.
A mask or Buff may also be required at our café stop.

Please do not attend the ride if you have Covid symptoms, have someone in your household who does or if you have tested positive on a recent Covid test. Cancelling your place won't be a problem just let us know on the website before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if its raining.
All riders on a British cycling ride are now required to provide & carry all their own cycle repair equipment to comply with the government's self-sufficiency rules.
All participants on a British cycling ride are now required to provide all their own cycling repair equipment to comply with self-sufficiency rules.
So you will need to make sure you are as self-sufficient as possible on the ride, to avoid sharing tools if any repairs are needed to your bike while on the move.
You will need to bring with you & carry your own cycle repair kit containing these spares as well as know how to use them. A spare complete inner tube that fits your bike, a set of tyre levers and a hand pump with the correct fitting for your inner tube valve are the minimum required.

Any questions or concerns about attending the ride just message the ride leader on the rider's tab below
An almost traffic free beginners cycle path ride with beginner E-Bike riders especially welcomed.
