Weekday Whizz to Offley - 12 - 14 mph 30 - 35 miles

Starting outside The Red Cow Pub, Westfield Road Harpenden this time. Start of 9am on Tuesday 12- 14 mph. Route to be confirmed via email soon but it will be a maximum of 35 miles. There will be hills, no worries we regroup at the top. :) Weather permitting we will have a stop at the cafe in Offley. Please do bring plenty to drink and some snacks just in case the weather doesn't play ball!

Plenty of street parking available near the start or public pay and display available near Lydekker Park (see start point) There is a public toilet inside Sainsbury in Harpenden on the High Street.

Please do check your emails and text messages before leaving, I may have to cancel the ride if it is not safe for us to ride. Fingers crossed :)

The important bits:

Covid Related : We will adhere to British Cycling Guidelines. Please still carry in your pocket, a mask, hand sanitiser and gloves. Ensure your bike is in good working order and you have an emergency backup/taxi number to call on in case of issues. As before, please do not attend if you have covid symptoms, of course.

Ride Related:
- check your bike the night before (Tyre pressure will go down when your bike has not been used or from use!)
- carry 2 spare inner tubes, tyre levers and correct pump
- Money for coffee/emergencies. Helmet (compulsory on ride-sorry!)
- Water and a snack, just in case
- Appropriate bright and warm clothing (Rain/Sun – hopefully the latter)
- Lights (not essential but a plus in winter)
