SO15 0NN

This ride is of contrasts starting at Redbridge where the River Test meets the tidal estuary of Southampton Water. We follow The River Test and railway North to Romsey, passing the Broadlands Estate, former home of The Earl Mountbatten of Burma and into Romsey. We pass its Famous Abbey and continue out of the Town where we cross The River Test, and climb up to Shootash. Then a quick descent into Wellow, where we pick up one of the many narrow lanes. Shortly we pass St Margaret's Church, where Florence Nightingale is Buried and continue on these lanes, over a Ford and past a Lavender Farm, where we pick up a main road to Landford. Very soon we join quiet Lanes to Hamptworth where we will stop for lunch at The very quaint Cuckoo Inn. The return route will take us past the Lyburn Cheese Farm, and into The NE corner of the New Forest at Nomansland. We continue across the Forest to Copythorne and Winsor, where we have a short ride through Totton and back to Redbridge.
